Shennon guides St. Peter’s to title win

Left arm seam bowler Shennon Rodrigo shone with a match bag of eight wickets for St. Peter’s against Lumbini MV in the final of the Under 19 Division One Tier ‘B’ two day tournament played at the MCA ground in Colombo which helped them to record a comfortable first innings win to emerge champions.  
Lumbini MV in reply to the formidable score of 291 made by St. Peter’s found Rodrigo who ended with a six wicket haul too hot to handle and was able to muster a score of only 169 runs.  
Lumbini MV made to follow on, fared better with Dinitha de Silva and Nabeel Rajudeen cracking half tons which enabled them to make a score of 220 for 9 declared and St. Peter’s set a target of 99 runs for victory ended the 
day on 59 for 3.
