Sineth Jayawardena to lead Sri Lanka U-19

The Sri Lanka Under-19 Squad with officials

Sineth Jayawardena of Royal College, Colombo will lead the 16-member Sri Lanka Under-19 Team for the forthcoming tour to Pakistan.


The squad comprises of 14 players who were members of the recently concluded ODI and Unofficial Test series-winning team against the West Indies Under-19 namely, Skipper Jayawardena, his deputy Malsha Tharupathi, Dinura Kalupahana, Vihas Thewmika, Garuka, Sanketh, Vishwa Lahiru, Kaveesha Piyumal, Pulindu Perera, Ruvishan Perera, Rusanda Gamage, Sharujan Shanmuganathan, Ravishan Nethsara, Vishen Halambage and Hiran Jayasundara while the two new players included are Geethika de Silva and Manula Kularatne.

Kularatne MV, Ambalangoda), Sarujan Shanmuganathan (St. Benedict’s), Dinura Kalupahana (Mahinda, Galle), Vihas Thewmika (Thurstan), Vishwa Lahiru (Sri Sumangala, Panadura), Garuka Sanketh (Lyceum, Wattala), Ruvishan Perera (Ananda), Kaveesha Piyumal (St. Anthony’s, Katugastota), Hiran Jayasundara (St. Joseph’s, Colombo), Geethika de Silva (St. Anne’s Kurunegala), Rusanda Gamage (St. Peter’s, Bambalapitiya) and Manula Kularatne (Trinity).
