Skipper Wellalage shines in Sri Lanka U19 win

Skipper Dunith Wellalage stole the limelight in Sri Lanka U19’s comfortable 65-run win over South Africa U19 in the fifth place semi-final encounter of ICC U19 World Cup cricket tournament played at North Sound. 

 
Taking first lease of the wicket, skipper Wellalage cracked a 130-ball knock of 113 which included nine boundaries and four sixes and associated in a 130-run stand for the fifth wicket with Ranuda Somaratne who made an unbeaten 57 in 70 balls which had three boundaries and two hits over the ropes as Sri Lanka U19 made a modest score of 232 for 6.   

South Africa U19 in their run chase lost their top five wickets with the score on 72 in the 17th over and was bowled out for a score of 167 runs.
