Sooriyabandara appointed Antonian Backs coach

Kandy SC Full-back Srinarth Sooriyabandara signed up with St. Anthony’s College Katugastota ahead of the 2023 schools rugby season to coach the backline of their Under 20 team. 

After leaving Isipathana, Sooriyabandara represented the national 15-a-side and sevens teams, though being considered as a specialist in the shorter version. 

He has been a regular member of the national sevens squad since 2010. 

At present he plays as a Full-back but originally he started as a scrum-half playing at Fly half when the need arises. The Antonians will be headed by Sumedha Malawana as their Head Coach while their Trainer will be Indunil Wickremasinghe for the coming season.  Hard working old boy of the Arunda Ranasinghe will be the Manager of the team.
Sahan Keerthisiri will lead the outfit with Saduka Athukorala his deputy for 2023 season.
