Sri Haran bags VGR June Monthly Medal

Ganesan Sriharan was in top form in the June edition of the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) Monthly Medal Tournament winning the overall winner award.

Fowler Watt won the Ladies’ Nett winner title with a score of 74. Anumi Karunatilake - the youngster from Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy - followed closely behind, earning the Nett runner-up position with a score of 75. 

Ahalya Rajan reigned supreme in the Ladies’ Gross Division, showing her consistent performances and accuracy throughout the course with a gross score of 88 while Pauline Morley’s impressive display secured her the Ladies’ Gross runner-up title with a score of 113.

Meanwhile, Haroon Aslam, back on a short holiday from his studies and golf in USA, was in sparkling form and his strategic play earned him the Nett winner title with a score of 70 Nett C/B while Saliya Jayaweera’s solid performance secured the Nett runner-up position with 70 Nett C/B.

Eric Ou emerged victorious in the Men’s Gross segment, demonstrating exceptional control and shot-making with a score of 82 while Aslam Mohideen added another impressive result to the tournament, finishing as the Men’s Gross runner-up with a score of 88. 

Sriharan’s all-round performance across both Nett and Gross segments ultimately earned him the coveted overall winner title for June.

The Longest Drive in the Ladies’ was won by Ahalya Rajan while the closest to the PIN Award was won by Fowler Watt. 

In the Men’s segment the Longest Drive Award was won by Eric Ou with Sri Haran having a field day winning the closest to the PIN Award.
