Sri Lanka ‘A’ – Australia ‘A’ 1st unofficial Test Nuwanidu, Lahiru shine on day two

Nuwanindu Fernando and Lahiru Udara shone with half tons for Sri Lanka ‘A’ against Australia ‘A’ on day two of the first four day match played at the Sooriyawewa Stadium.   


The second day’s play saw Sri Lanka ‘A’ being guided by Fernando who made 86 inclusive of 11 boundaries and a six while Udara making an unbeaten 50 with five boundaries.   


Fernando in the process shared two valuable partnerships that of 61 runs for the fourth wicket with Sadeera Samaraweera who chipped in with 29 and the other of 93 runs for the fifth wicket with Udara to help Sri Lanka ‘A’ to score 250 for the loss of eight wickets at stumps in reply to Australia’s ‘A’s score of 379.
