Sri Lanka ‘A’ vs Pakistan Shaheens Shakeel, Yousuf shine in drawn game

A massive 206-run stand for the second wicket between skipper Saud Shakeel, who made a knock of 118 inclusive of 13 boundaries, and Omair Yousuf (93), was the highlight of the drawn first unofficial Test match between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Pakistan Shaheens concluded at the Pallekele International Stadium yesterday.


Final day’s play saw Pakistan Shaheens, in reply to the home side’s score of 141, declare on 324/2 after resuming from their overnight score of 187/1. Sri Lanka ‘A’ batting the second time ended the day on 144/2, helped by a run-a-ball knock of 98 by Kamil Mishara. 


The two teams will play their 2nd unofficial Test from November 4-7 at the same venue.
