The Sri Lankan Amateur Golf Ranking Tournament is set to tee off from July 24 to July 27 at the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) in Rajawella, Digana.
This will be a 72-hole stroke-play event over four days and the highest aggregate will win the event.
Among the notable participants is a young 15-year-old Reshan Algama who has already made history by winning past tournaments.
Yannik Kumara is also expected to be in prime form for this event.

Another promising player, 12-year-old Thejas Rathis Kanth, will miss this event due to his educational commitments.
However, the senior amateurs are not to be underestimated, as they bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the competition.
Players such as Chanaka Perera, Uchita Akash and Chalitha Pushpika are expected to provide tough competition, challenging the young golfers and aiming to reclaim their top spot. Their seasoned skills and strategic approach to the game will undoubtedly make for a captivating contest.

His exposure to different playing styles and techniques will undoubtedly make him a force to be reckoned with, pushing the local players to step up their game.
He will be playing in his home course in the Central Hills which will be an added advantage for him.
