Sri Lanka Police enlists ‘Podi Sana’ and three more cricket stars for key roles

Four Sri Lankan cricketers joined the Sri Lanka Police department after representing the Police Cricket Club since last year.


Accordingly, Kusal Janith Perera, also known as ‘Podi Sana’, and Chamara Silva have taken on roles as Chief Police Inspectors, while Ashen Bandara and Nuwan Pradeep have joined as Police Inspectors.


The players represent the Sri Lanka Police Cricket team, which achieved joint champion status in the recently concluded Sri Lanka Cricket first-class competition.
Public Security Minister Tiran Alles presented official appointment letters to the four cricketers joining the Sri Lanka Police, witnessed by Acting IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon.
