Sri Lanka Rugby name Provisional Squads

Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) has named the provisional squad for the upcoming international tournaments ahead of the busy schedule despite the uncertainties of participating in the tournaments.   

The men’s squad consisted of 59 players including some top 7’s stars from Kandy namely Srinath Sooriyabandara, Tarinda Ratwatte and Kavindu Perera while Police brothers Iroshan and Sachith Silva who were regulars in the last tournaments have also been named. 

CR & FC centre Kanchana Ramanayake, CH & FC flanker Samuel Ogebor and Kandy speedster Jason Dissanayake are not in the country despite being named in the provisional squad which will be shortened after the trials. 

The women’s squad is consisted of 25 members.
