Sri Lanka will take on Ireland in their final warm-up match in Melbourne today, ahead of the campaign opening game of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday against Namibia.
A stunning half-century by Kusal Mendis had set Sri Lanka on their way to victory in their first warm up match against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, with 54 off 29 balls, posting a score of 188 for 5 in 20 overs.
Chamika Karunaratne and Maheesh Theekshana then took two wickets to restrict Zimbabwe to 155 for 5 in 20 overs, for a victory margin of 32 runs.
Zimbabwe will take on Namibia as Scotland face United Arab Emirates in other warm up matches today.
