Sri Lanka invited for Indian para athletic meet next month

India’s National Paralympic Committee has invited the Sri Lanka Paralympic Committee to send a team for an invitation Para Athletic meet in India.

The Indian paralympic committee has decided to stage this tournament to get more athletes qualified for the 2023 Asian Para Games.

The Sri Lanka paralympic committee has decided to accept this invitation for this tournament that is expected to be held in August in New Delhi.

All Asian countries are expected to take part in this competition, said Sri Lanka Paralympic Committee president Lt Col Deepal Herath. He said they are hoping to send 12-15 athletes for this event.

Record breakers at the recent Para Nationals are expected to be selected for this tournament.
