Sri Lanka lose to Bangladesh in Asian Games Men’s hockey qualifiers

Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka 3-1 in the second match of the Asian Games Hockey Men’s Qualifying tournament on Monday.  

Nine teams are taking part in this tournament from May 6 to 15 in Bangkok, Thailand.  

Sri Lanka won their opening match against Singapore 5-2 and is scheduled to play their final group match against Indonesia on May 12.  

Vipul Warnakula scored Sri Lanka’s only goal against Bangladesh in the 44th minute. 

Islam Ashraful (18th min), Rahman Kharshadur (23rd min) and Sarkar Roman (53rd min) got on the scoresheet for Bangladesh.
