Sri Lanka off to UAE for U-19 Asia Cup

The 15-member Sri Lanka Under-19 Squad left for the United Arab Emirates yesterday to take part in the Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, which begins tomorrow.

Sri Lanka are in Group ‘B’ along with Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal. Sri Lanka’s first game is against Nepal and will be played on November 29 at Sharjah.

The Sri Lanka Under-19 Squad: Vihas Thewmika (Captain – Thurstan), Sharujan Shanmuganathan (Vice-Captain - St. Benedict’s), Pulindu Perera (Dharmaraja), Tanuja Rajapaksha (Thurstan), Dulnith Sigera (Mahanama), Kaveeja Gamage (Kingswood), Viran Chamuditha (St. Servatius’, Matara), Ramiru Perera (Royal, Colombo), Lakvin Abeysinghe (Dharmaraja), Vimath Dinsara (Royal, Colombo), Praveen Maneesha (Lumbini), Yenula Dewthusa (St. Joseph’s, Colombo), Geethika de Silva St. Anne’s, Kurunegala), K. Mathulan (St. John’s, Jaffna) and R. Newton (Jaffna Central).
