Sri Lanka qualifies for the next round of AFC Cup 2023

After the completion of FIFA World Cup 2022 & AFC Asia Cup 2023 joint qualification round held in South Korea, Sri Lanka advances to the next round of AFC AsianCup 2023 to be held in August and September.

“This is a great opportunity for Sri Lanka once again after their spirited efforts against Asian giants South Korea and Lebanon. Football Sri Lanka would accelerate their planning to strengthen the team further and to prepare the team,” said Football Sri Lanka (FSL) presidentAnura de Silva.

Regarding the recommencement of Super League 2021, FSL announced that the event needs rescheduling due to present COVID-19 restrictions and regulations in the country and as teams need adequate time to prepare their teams.
