Sri Lanka qualify for Asian Men’s VB Championships

Sri Lanka qualified for the 21st Asian Men’s Volleyball Championships after beating Uzbekistan 3-0 in the Central Asia Qualifier held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.  


The hosts edged a closely-contested first set 25-23, before taking the second set with a comfortable 25-13 score.
Sri Lanka took the third set 25-22.


The Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship will take place in Japan in September this year.  16 teams will participate in the Asian Volleyball Championship, with the finalists qualifying for the FIVB Men’s World Championship in 2022.
