Sri Lanka will begin the final stretch in their preparations for the T20 World Cup when they take on Oman in a T20I today at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

Led by Dasun Shanaka, Sri Lanka will look to bounce back from the series defeat to South Africa last month, but will be without two of their best bowlers, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera, who are currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The match will begin at 4 pm Sri Lanka time and will be telecast on Supreme TV (free-to-air) and Sony Ten (pay-tv).

Coached by former Sri Lanka skipper Duleep Mendis, Oman will be captained by Zeeshan Masqood, and are among the seven other teams in the qualifying round of the World Cup, albeit in the opposite group to Sri Lanka.
They will play a second T20I on Saturday before the World Cup qualifying round starts on October 17.
