Sri Lanka to compete in AFC U20 and U17 football tournaments

Sri Lanka’s junior national football teams will participate in the 2023 AFC Under-20 and Under-17 Football Qualification tournaments, Football Sri Lanka (FSL) said.

The AFC U20 tournament will be held from September 14 to 18 in Mongolia while the U17 event will be held from October 5 to 9 in Uzbekistan conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Sri Lanka has been drawn in Group E for the U20 tournament with South Korea, Malaysia and Mongolia. They will play South Korea on September 14, Malaysia on September 16 and Mongolia on September 18.

For the AFC U17 tournament, Sri Lanka are in Group J with South Korea, Brunei and Uzbekistan. They will play South Korea on October 5, Brunei on October 7 and Uzbekistan on October 9.
