Sri Lanka to face South Korea in AFC U-20 Qualifier

Sri Lanka will face South Korea in their 2023 AFC Under-20 Asia Cup Qualification Group ‘E’ opening fixture on September (14) at the MFF Football Centre, Ulaanbaatar Ground in Mongolia.   


The other teams competing in Group ‘E’ are Malaysia and Mongolia with the finals scheduled for September (18).   
Sri Lanka’s second match of the tournament will be against Malaysia on September (16) and their third and final game will be against Mongolia on September (18).   


The 23-member Sri Lanka Football Squad along with five officials has already arrived in Mongolia ahead of their opening encounter.   


The Sri Lanka Under-20 Football Squad: Shane Banuka, Anton Jerome, Mohamed Hisham, Muhammad Shakeel, Irfan Imdadulla, Derrick Fernando, Theshan Gamage, Mohamed Suhaib, Muhaideen Muhammedhu, Abdul Kaiyoom, Navod Fernando, Sasanda Nimesh, Ahamed Sajaad, Mohamed Nilar, Marshuk Firaszeer, Tharuka Ashantha, Iqbal Mohammed, Pathum Gimhana, Fazool Shahil, Polgahawattage Madusha, Ahamed Shareef, Nikila Pahan and Thushmika Jayalath.
