Sri Lanka to field two teams at AHF Cup

The Sri Lanka Hockey Federation (SLHF) will field a Men’s and Women’s Team for the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Cup Tournament in Indonesia in March, 2022.  

This event was earlier scheduled for November 2021 but the AHF decided to postpone the tournament due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  

However, a final decision on the venue and the dates will be announced at the AHF Council Meeting in January, 2022.  

Meanwhile, the SLHF have named a 37-member Men’s Squad and a 36-member Women’s Squad for national pool training targeting this tournament.  

The two squads will be pruned down following a medical test on January 11 and 12, Secretary SLHF G. Vishvanadan said yesterday.
