The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) to host the 7th Central Asia Men’s Challenge Cup 2023 Volleyball Tournament.
According to a request by the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), the tournament will be held from October 9-15 at Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, according to SLVB secretary A.S.Nalaka.
Seven countries in the Central Asia region including Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Hosting country Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkmenistan are the participating counries.
This is the first international volleyball tournament to be held in Sri Lanka in 2023.
It is estimated that 15 million rupees will be spent to host the tournament and SLVB plans to find that amount from the sponsors.
