The Masters Athletics Association of Sri Lanka is hoping to field a strong team at the 22nd Asian Masters Athletics championships to be held in China in September.
The athletes representing Sri Lanka at the Masters Championship could be over 200, said Masters Athletics President H.A. Upali to Daily Mirror.
The Masters National Championship will be held concurrently with the selection trials on March 5 and 6 at the Sugathadasa Stadium for the Masters Athletics championships will be held on Feb 5 and 6.
The organisers have received 700 entries so far with the closing date for submitting applications being February 10. All entries should be sent to Cyril Perera, Competition Secretary, Masters Athletics Association of Sri Lanka. No 155/1 Gannoruwa, Peradeniya or via email [email protected]
