Sri Rahula dominate Battle of the Golds

Sri Rahula College, Katugastota dominated the 26th Kandy Battle of the Golds Inter-School Big Match against the traditional rivals Sri Sumangala College, Kandy, which ended in a draw at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
The highlight of the game was a fine century by Sri Rahula Skipper, Vishal Gardivasam, who stroked 149. 
Sri Sumangala taking first lease of the wicket were shot out for 159 and following on ended on 145 for five at stumps.

Sri Rahula: 303/6 decl in 69.3 overs 
Sri Sumangala (34/2 overnight): 159 in 60.2 overs (Movidu Dineth 31, Banuka Dissanayake 27, Nimesh Senevirathne 25, Vishal Gadivasam 3/23, Dineth Abeysekera 2/19, Thaveesha Shenal 2/19) and 145/5 in 55 overs (Aruj Ekanayake 44 n.o, Banuka Dissanayake 39, Visal Baratha 21).
