The sixth-round matches of the Inter-schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament begins today with the clash between St. Joseph’s College and Kingswood College at Havelock Park. The kick-off is at 4.15 p.m.

St. Joseph’s, led by No. 8 Vishika Fernando have so far recorded two wins and are favoured against Kingswood - led by winger Anuda Upek. The Kingswoodians have recorded only one win this season.

However, both teams lost their respective matches last week as the Josephians lost to Royal College and the Kingswoodians went down to their traditional rivals Wesley College.

The Josephians started the season in an inauspicious manner with a shock defeat to Vidyartha but recovered well to score back-to-back wins against Zahira College and Thurstan College before going down to their traditional rivals St. Peter’s College and Royal.

Kingswood on the other hand suffered heavy defeats to Royal, St Peter’s, hometown rivals Vidyartha before gaining a consolation win against Thurstan and once again lost to Wesley.
However, on paper St. Joseph’s should have little difficulty in staving off the challenge of Kingswood, who will face a tough task of preventing their opponents’ from going on a scoring spree.
