St. Sylvester’s crowned T.B. JAYAH BOXING champions

St. Sylvester’s College Kandy became champions at the Inter-Schools Boxing Championship played for T. B. Jayah Boxing event, which took place in Akurana at the Azhar College recently.
St. Sylvester’s won three Golds, one Silver and one Bronze in this tournament, while the runner- up was Peradeniya Central, who bagged three Golds and three Bronze. The Best Boxer of the tournament was T. M. I. D. B. Thennakoon of the champion Sylvester’s outfit.

The event took place from September 2 to 5. The T. B. Jayah event was named in honour of the former Zahira College Colombo, Principal who was the Past President of the Sri Lanka Boxing Association.
