Suhiru leaves Kandy

Former Peterite, National youth, sevens and XV-a-side player Suhiru Anthony will leave Kandy to take up employment in Colombo and is likely to play for a Colombo Club during the 2021/22 rugby season.
The second-rower represented the Peterite 1st XV team for 3 years from 2008 to 2010 as a lock forward. He featured in the triple champion outfit in his last year at school. Two years later while playing for Navy SC he was selected to play for the sevens outfit tour of China and India. A year later he made his XV-a-side debut for the national team against Kazakhstan in Colombo. In 2014 he switched to the Up-country outfit and was with the trophy-winning outfits in tandem.
