Super League football final on Jan. 12

The Football Sri Lanka (FSL) organised Lanka Super League Semi-Professional Tournament final encounter will be played on January 12 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo and Race Course Ground, Reid Avenue.  

Already seven stages have been completed in this 10-team tournament with Stage-8 and Stage-9 matches to be played on January 6 and 7 at Sugathadasa Stadium and Racecourse Grounds in Reid Avenue, Secretary FSL Umar Jaswar told the Daily Mirror yesterday.  

The champions of this tournament will receive a cash award of Rs 5m and the runners-up will receive Rs 3m.  

In addition, all participating teams will be presented with a cash award of Rs 1m.  

Meanwhile, in the overall standings, Blue Star SC, Colombo FC and Sea Hawks FC are on top with 16 points each after the completion of Stage-7.
