Team Dhananjaya beat Team Dasun in Intra-Squad warm up

Wanindu Hasaranga top scored during the Intra-Squad match played at the R. Premadasa Stadium ahead of Sri Lanka’s limited over series against South Africa next month. 

Playing for the team led by Dhananjaya de Silva, Hasaranga scored 68 off 59 balls, to help his team reach 147-6 in 28.1 overs against the team led by Dasun Shanaka

Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Chamika Karunaratne both contributed 14 runs each, with Lahiru Madushanka (3-9) and Akila Dananjaya (2-46) the pick of the bowlers for Shanaka’s team. 

In their run chase, Team Dasun managed 128-9 in 27 overs, chasing a revised target of 165 in the match that was reduced to 30 overs due to rain. 

Ashen Bandara scored 40 off 46 and Madushanka 36 off 41, but it was not enough as Team Dhananjaya were adjudged winners. 

Lahiru Kumara took 4-12 for the winning team.
