Thamindu slams swashbuckling unbeaten triple ton

Richmond College Galle opener Thamindu Pradeep slammed a swashbuckling unbeaten 302 to guide his side to record a mammoth 362-run win over Meepawala Amarasuriya MMV in an Under 15 inter-school cricket encounter played at Baddegama.


Pradeep’s knock, which came off just 155 balls, comprised 23 boundaries and 26 towering sixes. He was involved in three partnerships – 78 runs for the fourth wicket with Minaga Ariyadasa followed by a 87-runstand for the fifth wicket with Tharusha Gunawardena, and an unbroken 252-run partnership the sixth wicket with Pubudu Mihiranga who remained unbeaten on 51. They all contributed to Richmond’s mammoth score of 457 for 5.


Later, Ariyadasa, Malitha Perera and Yuro Koththigoda shared eight wickets between them to bundle out their opponents for a meager 95 runs.
