Tharindu secures VGR Monthly Medal

Former Ananda College golfer, Tharindu Wickramasinghe continued his impressive form by accounting for the Overall Win at the May 2024 Monthly Medal which took place at the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR).

This tournament was sponsored by Lectra by Apparel Technologies.

This was Wickramasinghe’s second monthly medal triumph in tandem, showing his remarkable consistency and skill at the VGR. He accounted for the April event as well at VGR.

The Nett Winner for Men’s segment was Derrick Ponnambalam delivering yet another good performance that earned him the top spot pushing Nadeshan Krishnakumar to the runner-up in the same event.

In the Ladies’ event Jade Jiggens claimed the Nett Winner title, demonstrating her growing power in the course in the VGR.

The Gross Winner Men’s category was won by Nirwan Hettiarachchi, who showed his exceptional golfing abilities with a dominant display. 

Stephan Bateman was the runner-up in this segment. In the Ladies’ Gross it was Rudrani Devidas who won the event.
