Professional golfer Anura Rohana had a great start at the trials for Asian Games/Sri Lanka Golf Union Ranking Tournament 2023 which began at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
The event will be conducted over four days with 72 holes and the points collected over the four days will decide the winner.
The Sri Lanka ranking tournament began on a high note as golfers showcased their exceptional skills on the course.
Rohana took the lead by carding an impressive six-under par round, displaying his experience and mastery.
Following closely behind was Mithun Perera with a solid five under par round, while K. Prabakaran displayed his skills with a three under par round.
The young and talented amateur Reshan Algama stole the show among amateurs with a fantastic two under par round, placing him in fourth position.
Noteworthy performances were also seen from Haroon Aslam and Jacob Norton. With more excitement anticipated, day two promises to be equally enthralling with continued great rounds from both the Pros and amateurs.
