Trials for national and development squads postponed

The second trials for the Amateur Golfers which were to serve as selections of the national and development squads and due to take place yesterday at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) has been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic in the country.New dates will be notified in due course.

Both Chanaka Perera and Taniya Balasuriya won the first trials which took place at RCGC a couple of weeks back.
Meanwhile, the youngest in the event 13-year-old Reshan Algama, showed lot of promise when he was placed 13th in the list with some powerful long shots with top-class accuracy. Three girls teed off the first leg of the event. 
Kala Perera, another sensational youngster who missed out the first leg, is tipped to play in the second leg.
