Trinity retain schools weightlifting title

The defending champions Trinity College retained the overall title at the Sri Lanka Inter-Schools Weightlifting Championships 2024, held at the Pilimathalawe Central College Stadium in Kandy.

The championship was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Weightlifting Association.

Trinity won 11 medals including one Gold Medal, six Silver Medals and four Bronze Medals. Sadil Amunugama secured the solitary Gold Medal for Trinity.

In addition, Onija Kodithuwakku, Thisal Rajapaksa, Joshu Kottage, Manula Dulwela, Thanuj Navaraja and Mohamed Ashi won a Silver Medal each.
The Bronze Medallists for Trinity were Pudam Dissanayake, Chanithu Ranatunga, Shehan Kumarawansa and Mohamed Umar.
