The Eagles Golf Links and Courses team was in sparkling form on their home course when they defended their championship in tandem to claim the 2nd Eagles Quadrangle Cup 2023 at their golf course in China Bay, Trincomalee, last weekend.

Eagles Golf Links collected 325 points and became champions, pushing Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) to second place with 305 points.

Meanwhile, Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) ended third with 301 points, and Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) ended last in the four-team annual event with 297 points, which took place under very good organisation for the second time under the watchful eyes of Sri Lanka Air Force.

This was the first event under their new golf chairman and former Rajans golfer, Air Vice Marshal Udula Wijesinghe. Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Each team comprised 15 players, with two ladies per team being compulsory. The best 10 cards were taken to determine the winner. The course was challenging under super conditions, with the sun bathing in full power in China Bay. BY Shamseer Jaleel
