U20 Schools Hockey Tournament in Matale

The Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association (SLSHA) has called for entries for the All-Island Inter-Schools Under-20 Hockey Tournament scheduled to be worked-off from October 12-15 at the Edward Park in Matale.   

The tournament was not held for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the SLSHA believes this year’s event will provide all talented players both Boys’ and Girls’ to prove their capabilities.   

Those players who are born between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008 are eligible to participate in this tournament.   

The Boys’ tournament will be conducted on a league basis in eight groups while the Girls’ tournament will be worked off in four groups with the final round matches to be played on a knock-out basis.   All entries should reach Anuruddha Bandara, Secretary, SLSHA, Vijaya MV, Matale on or before October 7.   Further details could be obtained from Anuruddha Bandara on telephone: 0702618840.
