Uchitha takes lead in SLG Ranking Tourney

In some extraordinary golf, the leaderboard took Uchitha Ranasinghe to the top position, delivering a stunning performance at the end of day two of the Sri Lanka Golf (SLG) Ranking Tournament, continued at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC).

Shooting a remarkable four-under-par, Ranasinghe climbed to the top position with a superb score of 143. His impressive round put him three strokes ahead of the first day leader Haroon Aslam, who slipped to second place with a score of 146.

Chalitha Pushpika, who started the day in second place, found the challenging greens ending day two in third place with a score of 149. Dhanaranjan followed closely, securing fourth place with a total score of 150.

Meanwhile, Reshan Algama showed good golf with some strategic play and climbed to the top five with a gross score of 155. Chanaka Perera’s consistent form secured him the sixth position after a solid two-over-par round, giving him a total of 156.

P. S. D. Kumara and Jevahn Sathasiwam ended the day tied at 158 for the seventh and eighth positions respectively. Youngster Yannik, despite a tough day with a 13-over-par, managed to round out the top 10 with a total of 161.
