Unbeaten CDB “B” takes on MAS Active Intimo for Honda Trophy

MAS Active Linea Intimo will seek sweet revenge when they meet unbeaten, Citizans Development Business (CDB) for the second time, in the 11th Stafford Motor Co. (Pvt.) Ltd, sponsored ‘Honda’ Trophy MCA ‘G’ Division, 25-Over League Tournament 2022 Final, on Saturday (23) at the MCA grounds, commencing 10:00 a.m.  
Earlier, the final was scheduled to be played on July (10) was postponed due to the public disturbance.  
The finalist played alongside in Group ‘B’, and when they met each other in the round-robin, CDB ‘B’ scored a narrow eight runs win over MAS Active on at Mattegoda recently.  

At the completion of the league stage which contained 120 half day matches, played among 42 teams pooled into six groups, CDB ‘B’ finished on top of Group ‘B’ and MAS Active Linea Intimo, ran in second in the same group.  
In the Knock-out stage, CDB ‘B’ continued their unbeaten run, scoring wins over McLarens Group by 29 runs in the pre-quarter finals, beat Singer Sri Lanka ‘B’ by seven wickets in the quarter-finals and beat Brandix Essentials by the skin of their teeth by two wickets in the last ball.  

CDB’s Best Performers with the bat and ball were: Ashan Sampath (07 innings, 268 runs with two half Centuries and nine wickets for 94 runs), Buddhika Weranga (07 innings, 227 runs with two half centuries), Tharindu Madusanka (05 innings 171 runs), Isuru Jayaranga (10 wickets for 110 runs) and P.G. Sandaruwan (08 wickets for 124 runs)   

MAS Active Linea Intimo- beat Hilton Colombo Residencies by five wickets in the pre-quarters; scored an upset five runs win over Group “E” top, Softlogic Life in the quarter-finals and Teejay Lanka (Group “C” top) by 14 runs in the semi-finals.   

Best performers for MAS Active with the bat and ball were: Dushmantha Dissanayake (Eight innings, 282 runs with two half centuries) Roshan Wijesekera (Eight innings, 281 runs with two half centuries), Uvindu Migara (eight innings, 197 runs with half century, Geeth Sankalpa (12 wickets 188 runs), Thilina Kasun (Eight wickets for 116 runs, S. Mihiranga (Eight wickets for 126 runs)
