Kithma Sithmal had the honour of making the first double ton of the ongoing Under 15 inter-schools cricket tournament when he slammed a quick fire 245 runs in only 126 balls which included 29 boundaries and 15 sixes against Wesley College in the match played at Ananda Mawatha.
Sithmal’s knock saw Ananda taking first lease of the wicket amass a mammoth score of 424 for 9, Wesley, in their massive chase of 425, were bowled out for a score of 139 for Ananda to record a massive 285-run victory.
In the other matches that were played Mahanama Panadura, Sri Sumangala Hikkaduwa, Ranpokumugama MV, S. Thomas’ Prep, DSS, Zahira Colombo and Jaffna Central won their matches.
