Dissanayake, Algama steer St. Benedict’s to big win

A masterly knock of 106 by Mevan Dissanayake and a four wicket haul by Haren Algama guided St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena to record a 165 run victory over Ananda Sastrayala Kotte in the Under 15 inter-school cricket encounter played at Kotahena.   


St. Benedict’s taking first lease of the wicket made a formidable 298 runs and Algama’s four spearheaded them to bowl out the Sastralians for a low score of 133 runs.   


Sri Sumangala College Panadura, Royal College,Panadura, S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda along with Nalanda College, Colombo and Moratu MV emerged victorious in the other matches of the same tournament.
