Under 17 Cricket Joint defending champs Trinity meet Rahula Matara

Joint defending champions Trinity College will meet Rahula College Matara in the quarter-final of the Under 17 Division One inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket at De Mazenod College ground in Kandana today.   
Seventy six teams divided into 14 groups participated in the first round. Trinity advanced to the second round as the group champion in the first round while Rahula College also advanced to the second round as the group champion in the first round.   
Trinity College Kandy beat Bandaranayake MMV Gampaha and Rahula College Matara beat Gurukula College Kelaniya in the second round.   
In the run up to the quarter-final Trinity led by Dimantha Mahavithana got the better of Kingswood while Rahula led by Alash Ambepitiya overcame Taxila Central Horana in the pre quarter final round matches.
