Under 17 Cricket Lashen steers St. Sebastian’s to big win

Lashen Fernando cracked a 83 ball knock of 112 inclusive of ten boundaries and six sixes for St. Sebastian’s to record a big win by 132 runs over Dharmapala MV Pannipitiya in the Under 17 inter-schools limited over tournament encounter played at Pannipitiya.   

Fernando’s knock helped St. Sebastian’s taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 218 and Dharmapala MV in their run chase succumbed to the bowling trio of Dilena Fernando, Risiru Prabash and Koshendra Fernando who together shared eight wickets and was bowled out for low score of 86 runs.   

In the other matches that were played saw St. Joseph’s Colombo, Isipathana, De Mazenod Kandana, Holy Cross Kalutara and Maliyadeva Kurunegala coming out victorious.
