Under 17 SLYL Tournament Galle U17 and Colombo South U17 record first wins

Viran Chamuditha cracked an unbeaten 107   

An unbeaten ton by Viran Chamuditha helped Galle Under 17 to record a five wicket win over Dambulla Under 17 in a high scoring match of the Sri Lanka Youth League limited over tournament encounter played at the Samadhi ground in Anuradhapura.   
Chamuditha slammed a quick fire 86 ball knock of 107 inclusive of 11 boundaries and five sixes and associated in two valuable partnerships of 106 runs for the fifth wicket with Randul Mabarana who made 51 and the other an unbroken 68 runs for the sixth wicket with Rashen Dilhara to guide Galle Under 17 chasing a challenging run chase to race to the target in the 44th over.   


Earlier Dambulla Under 17 taking first lease of the wicket made 246 with Janidu Ranasinghe making a top knock of 109 with 16 boundaries which proved to be in vain as it could not prevent Galle Under 17 from chalking up their first win of the tournament.   
Colombo Under 17 too recorded their first win of the tournament in when they defeated Kandy Under 17 by three wickets in another high scoring match played at the Army ground in Saliyapura Anuradhapura. Kandy Under 17 batting first made a score of 242 runs and Colombo South Under 17 in their run chase were helped by half tons from Vimuth Dinsara and Ramiru Perera which helped them to reach the target in the 46th over.

At Saliyapura – Colombo South U17 won by three wickets
Kandy U17 242 in 49.4 overs (Aadam Hilmy 51, Rayan Gregory 51, Kashyapa Dissanayake 41, Puleesha Tilekeratne 23, Dasun Walianga 23: Randeesha Bandaranayake 2./28, Abeeth Paranavidana 2/34, Hirusha Fernando 2/38, Aakesh Fernando 2/41)   
Colombo South U17 243 for 7 in 45.2 overs (Vimuth Dinsara 83, Oshan de Silva 39, Ramiru Perera 71 n.o.: Rayan Gregory 2/20, Kenula Pihilanga 2/48)
