Under 19 Asia Cup Sri Lanka U-19, Bangladesh Under-19 enter semis

The deciding match for the top slot in the Group B between Sri Lanka Under- 19 and Bangladesh Under-19 played at Sharjah was abandoned midway during the innings of Bangladesh Under-19’s who was on 130 for 4 having faced 32.4 overs.


The organisers had to stop the match as some of the umpires tested Covid positive. However the two teams having ended as the top two in the group booked the berths to semi-final.


Sri Lanka Under-19 will now meet Pakistan Under-19 while Bangladesh Under-19 will clash with India Under-19 in the two semi-finals scheduled to be played on December 30 in Dubai. 


The final is slotted to be played on December 31 at the same venue.
