Under 19 Cricket Dimath steers Maliyadeva to victory

impressive match figures of 11 for 67 runs by Dimath  Abeysinghe paved the way for Maliyadeva College Kurunegala to record an outright win by four wickets over Dharmasoka MV Ambalangoda in the Under  19 inter-school concluded at Ambalangoda.   

Dimath ended with a five-wicket haul in Dharmasoka MV’s  first inning score of 130 while Gayana Weerasinghe’s 55 helped  Maliyadeva in reply to make 172. Dimath’s six wicket haul saw Dharmasoka  MV batting the second time being bowled out for another low score of  140 which left the Devans a victory target of 99 runs which they  achieved for the loss of six wickets.
