Under 19 Cricket Lyceum IS, St. John’s book berths to semis

Lyceum International School Wattala and St. John’s College Jaffna book berths to the semi final of the Under 19 Division Two Tier ‘A’ limited over tournament. Only one quarter final was played which was between Lyceum IS and Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda where the former coasted to a six wicket win which was played at Moratuwa.  

The quarter final between St. John’s and Anuradhapura Central was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to bad weather and the Johnians qualified to the semis by virtue of having a higher average after the completion of the first round matches.

At Moratuwa – Lyceum IS won by six wickets

Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda 94 in 29 overs (Thenuja Rashmin 20: Garuka Sanketh 3/42, Bimsara Jayasinghe 2/9, Shavidu Silva 2/20)  
Lyceum IS Wattala 95 for 4 in 26.3 overs (Bimsara Weerasinghe 33, Omalka Hapuarachchi 27: Thenuja Rashmin 3/17)
