Under 19 Cricket Mahanama record sixth win in a thriller

Mahanama College Colombo recorded their sixth win of the ongoing Under 19 inter-school limited over cricket tournament with a thrilling one wicket win over Nalanda College in the match played at Campbell Place.   


Nalanda took first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 165 runs and Mahanama in their run chase reached the target in the 43rd over.   


A fine knock of 102 runs by Gayana Weerasinghe helped Maliyadeva College Kurunegala to record a close 13-run win over Wesley College in another match of the same tournament played at Kurunegala.   


In the other matches that were played Thurstan College along with St. Aloysius’ Galle and Dharmapala MV Pannipitiya come out on top against Dharmaraja College, St. Anthony’s College Wattala and St. Sylvester’s College respectively.

At Campbell Place – Mahanama won by one wicket
