Under 19 Cricket Ranuda Rahal shines on day one

Ranuda Somaratne and Rahal Amarasinghe shone for Trinity College with half tons against Nalanda College on day one of the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Campbell Place.  


Somaratne made a top score of 91 inclusive of five boundaries and three sixes while Amarasinghe made 75 with 12 boundaries and a six.   


The pair associated in a valuable 133-run stand for the fifth wicket for Trinity who, taking first lease of the wicket, ended the day on 267 for 9.  


Elsewhere, an unbeaten knock of 109 by skipper Pawan Suwahas for St. Benedict’s College was the highlight in their match against St. Joseph’s at Darley Road.
