Under 19 Cricket - S. Thomas' beat St. Anthony's, innings win for St. Joseph's College

St. Thomas' College pile up 250

St. Thomas' College Mount Lavinia scored 250 in their Under 19 Inter- School cricket encounter against the Antonians which commenced at Katugastota today.

On day 1 Antonians were in deep trouble at 105 for 5 at stumps.

St. Thomas’ 250 in 67.3 overs (Senadi Bulankulame 63, Akasha Fernando 39, Thishana Eheliyagoda 35; Kaveesha Piyumal 4 for 37, Charuka Ekanayake 2 for 71, Trevin Mathews 2 for 51)

St. Anthony's 105 for 5 in 30 overs (Indutuwa Galapitage 49 not out).

Dewthusa steers St. Joseph’s to innings win

Spinner Yenula Dewthusa shone with a match bag of nine wickets in St Joseph’s innings and 43 runs win over St. Thomas’ College Matara in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Darley Road.

St. Aloysius’ College Galle helped by unbeaten half tons from Hasitha Suranga and Vidura Lakshan pulled off a stunning seven wicket win over fancied Thurstan College in another Under 19 match played at Thurstan ground while an impressive match bag figures of 13 for 21 by Vishwa Lahiru paved the way for Sri Sumangala Panadura to coast to a massive innings and 151 run win over Kalutara MV played at the Kalutara Esplanade.
