Under 19 Cricket St. Joseph’s record easy win

Defending champions St. Joseph’s College recorded an easy five wicket win over St. Benedict’s College in the Under-19 inter-school cricket tournament encounter played at Kotahena recently.   


In this low scoring match St. Joseph’s College bowled out the home team for a score of 79 runs and raced to the target in the 24th over.   


In the other matches that were played Royal College Colombo, Dharmaraja College, Devapathiraja MMV Rathgama, Mahanama College Colombo, Holy Cross College Kalutara, St. John’s College Panadura, St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya, St. Aloysius College Ratnapura, Skandavarodaya College Jaffna, Jaffna Central College and Gamini NS Bentota recorded wins in their first round fixtures.
