Under 19 Cricket Tharindu, Sumalka, Oshan shine for PoW

Tharindu Amarasinghe, Sumalka Fernando and Oshan de Silva shone for Prince of Wales in their drawn Under 19 inter-school match against Nalanda College played at Campbell Place.   


Amarasinghe slammed a quick fire 152 in only 108 balls which comprised 14 boundaries and seven sixes while Fernando cracked 117 inclusive of 18 boundaries. 


De Silva made 79 and along with Amarasinghe shared a massive stand of 171 runs for the fourth wickets to help the Cambrians to make a formidable score of 394 for 7 declared. Nalanda made 208 batting first.   


DSS and Isipathana too featured in high scoring drawn games against Gurukula MV Kelaniya and St. Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa played at Wijerama Mawatha and NRC ground.
